Justin has been dying to take his parents camping with us, and he got the chance earlier this month. We headed up a random canyon on a VERY bumpy road that I'm proud to say didn't make me loose my lunch.
It was fun to sit around talking with them. Justin and Byron preferred to talk about camping equipment, camping methods and scouting.
Jaime was introduced to the game "I spy with my little eye..." for the first time and LOVED playing it with Lynne. I was impressed with Lynne's patience to play this simple game over and over again with a spirited three year old.
I preferred to put my feet up and read while the others talked and played, and was even able to finish a book I started a long time ago, Gianna.
Vida was just cute, and my favorite part was watching her rock and sing to her stuffed animal puppy and put it to sleep.
We laughed often about different things Justin forgot to bring, and made do with what we had.
This is was the beginning of a delicious pineapple dutch oven cobbler
It was special time our girls got with their grandparents
Grandpa showing off by splitting a piece of wood that was far too big for our little hatchet
Grandpa wouldn't let us leave without obtaining some cookies to bring along!
We were grateful they made time in their busy schedules for this, and very much enjoyed the time with them.
