Home for the Holidays!

This fall has been a whirlwind.  We are still busy, but I am looking forward to some holiday cheer this month!

One of my favorite things to do in the fall is roast pumpkins to make my own pumpkin puree and toasted seeds.  I learned this year that the seeds are especially good with a splash worcestershire sauce.

We enjoyed putting up our tree together as a family, and even bought some ornaments we could paint ourselves.

Today we fired up the downstairs fireplace and it has made our house feel so warm and Christmasy.

I got to make these frames out of old cabinet doors and they look so good in my dining room!  We have plans to make some more for Michelle's kitchen.

Justin's mom has been in town and watched our kids while we went on a date!

Now begins the season of holiday parties, baking, gift giving, and more importantly, remembering our Savior.

I have been richly blessed this season, and in life.  Words cannot express my gratitude for all I have been given and for how much our efforts to live a happy life have been added upon.  I know our faith in God sustains us.  For with God nothing shall be impossible (Luke 1:37).
