My actual birthday was Saturday, but it really started with a party on Friday night. I invited a bunch of my high school friends that live in Utah now and we had a homemade pizza party. Here a couple of the guests.

Sadly, I didn't take any more pictures - but I always enjoy these parties. It's a mix of singles, newly marrieds and new mothers. We talk about everything, including but not limited to boys, jobs, school, marriage, and babies. I feel very fortunate that so many of us ended up relatively close and can still hang out. It won't last forever, so I am trying to soak it up while they're all here!
The next day I spent doing whatever I wanted to do. That consisted of:
- attending a LDS leadership training meeting (not something I particularly scheduled, but I did attend!)
- lunch at Tucanos (LOVED this! I'm not a much of a meat person, I go for the lobster bisque that is to die for. If anyone knows how to make that, please pass on the recipe)
- mall browsing with the family (I used up a Bath and Body Works gift certificate to get some eucalyptus spearmint products. LOVE.)
- clothes shopping with my best friend, Estelle (bought two badly needed tops)
- movie with the husband after the kids were in bed
Not a bad birthday, if I do say so myself.
Sunday we had a family party with Bryce and Michelle and their kids. Justin made the cake, his first ever two layer cake - chocolate with cream cheese frosting.

We had whole wheat quesadillas with beans, cheese, tomatoes, bell pepper, red onions, cilantro, salsa and sour cream. Yum!

The kids played, fought and enjoyed themselves like usual!

None of it would have been possible without this guy doing all the background work. Love him.
Thank you, to all who worked to make my birthday fantastic and to all those that wanted to be here with us.
