Growing Up

My little girl is potty trained.  It took time, patience, and endurance on both of our parts but she's got it down!  She keeps her panties dry like a champ, but has struggled with learning to keep them empty.  We promised her that when she had a success at this more difficult task, she'd get cookies.

Last weekend she did it, just in time to make cookies for a family gathering we had.

She is still learning but will have it down pat in no time.  I keep telling her how proud I am of her.  She's done a great job.  We've had so much joy watching her learn.  Working so hard to teach and then seeing progression has to be one of the most rewarding experiences we can have.

Congrats on to the both of you for such a big accomplishment! What was your secret? When did you start potty training? I've been considering starting, but I am afraid that neither of us is ready yet, but I'm looking for tips for when the time is right.
